Question of the Day:

Honestly, how do you reconcile aging and getting older with grace and satisfaction? Especially for women when we live in a society where youth and beauty are so highly valued? How can you look forward to the inevitable decline of physical, mental, and sexual prowess?

if someone has this secret, Im all over it!! I try to think, there will always be someone prettier, thinner, faster... Getting old scares the crap out of me! My mom says I should stop saying that, because I will probably die young. Nice thought! lol!

As I get older, I think I dread it more. :) But, as far as the physical/mental decline...I've have Rheumatoid Arthritis since 94, so I've already dealt with limited physical abilities. I've always said that if I lose my mental capacities, I might as well be shot. :)

My biggest concern about aging is losing mental capabilities. I've encountered so many old people who are either a shell of a corpse or so incredibly annoying and grouchy that it makes me terrified of what I may become.
