I can understand phobias (I am afraid of heights and cats) but isn't "Phobophobia - a phobia of being afraid" going a little too far? Just an observation.

Phobophobia sounds a little ridiculous, I agree. Why are you afraid of cats? I can understand heights. That's rational. But little kitties? What about bunnies? I have bunnies. They're awesome pets.

I don't know why I dislike cats-I guess I just don't trust them. They are also moody and don't stay in the same place.. They can crap inside which is a good thing I guess.
I used to have a bunny. An albino bunny I aptly named Al.I got him from the humane society on Easter one year. He humped everything in sight (I see why they say hump like rabbits) and left his turds everywhere. I had him a couple of years until he died suddenly.

Cats are kind of moody. I'm sorry you didn't have a better bunny experience. I am guessing your bunny wasn't neutered. All of my bunnies are neutered. That usually stops the humping behavior (which is usually a dominance thing, not a sexual thing). Once they're neutured, they like to go to the bathroom in the same place. I just stick a litterbox there, and, whallah! All of my bunnies are litter-box trained so they are free-roaming in the house (and the house is clean, I swear). Just thought I'd let you know.

That's interesting. I didn't know about the neutered thing. You would make Bob Barker very proud :)

I didn't have a bad bunny experience; he was very entertaining. I don't think I would run out and get one right now though. I want to get a dog but I'm not home enough to be a good owner. I don't want to raise one of those psycho dogs that bark their ass off all the time. I think that it would be cool to have a dog that runs with me in the mornings.

Blake, I'm glad you enjoyed your bunny. I'm just sorry he died early. They live anywhere from 8-12 years. My oldest bunny is almost 6 now.
I would love to have a dog too, especially to go running with. That would be so awesome. I'm thinking a Doberman or German Shepherd But I'm in your situation. Good for you for not getting a dog yet when you know you can't give him enough attention. I think too many people run out and get pets without thinking about what it entails.
