Best moment of the day
Last night, when I got home at 1:30 a.m., my little Taz (bunny) was waiting downstairs for me. He looked worried. He was very glad to see me and when I bent down to pet him, he licked my nose for several minutes to comfort me.
Anonymous--thank you for all your comments. I would love to talk about my research sometime. It's all very connected. I study the pathology of obesity. Right now, my thesis work is focused on how fat gets into fat cells and gets metabolized afterwards. I'm really interested on the signals that regulate this process.
Erin--I'm glad you liked your B-day present. Happy Birthday, kiddo! God, you make me feel old. I know how stressful college is so I figured you would need a caffeine fix. It got me through some tough study nights.

Let's see if I can survive the Ph.D. experience first. I'll get back to you on running 26.2 miles when I feel more confident.
