I knew I would be tired this week so I'm cutting back to let myself recover. I've never been able to do this in a "planned," guilt-free manner before. I feel great! I put in 9 hours last week, which my body is not used to (yet). The last 2 days, I've been sleeping a lot and eating lots of ice cream. And it feels so good.

My downfall is choc. Dibs ice cream! Mmmm! Especially after a hot run!

9 hours this week! Good job on the work outs! I'm tapering for a half marathon and going crazy!

Never under estimate the importance of planned recovery or some good ice cream.

ice cream..oh nuts..that's one thing i am not eating until i am race 3 weeks from now ;)..

good stuff though..i have been getting 8-9 hr of sleep everyday. Makes a lot of difference to give the body some rest.

ra-ra i'm with you in the same boat. went boxing on wednesday but yesterday and today i'm *trying* to take it easy - had some ben & jerry's dublin irish fudge cream & strawberry cheesecake swirl last night. yummy!

Summer = ice cream! They go hand in hand! I have a hard time not doing things too, but if I 'plan' it into my stuff to get done, I tend to be better at relaxing.
