Just wanted everyone to know that I finished! It was tough; a whole lot harder than I thought but I learned a ton, and it was an amazing experience. I have a (very) detailed race report on the way. In the meantime, here are my (slow) times:
Swim 1.2 mi: 49:09 (2:35/100m)
T1: SWIM-TO-BIKE: 5:43
Bike 56 mi: 3:31:23 (15.9 mph)
T2: BIKE-TO-RUN: 5:42
Run 13.1 mi: 2:12:29 (10:06/mi)
Overall: 6:44:26
(no penalties)

Rachel,
Great job! Anytime you can finish a HIM it is time for a celebration. Slow or not, you did great. I hope you enjoyed every minute of it. BTW, you beat my time in that race from '03 by two minutes. Good job!
It was so great meeting you! Great to see you didn't get any penalties in transition. Wonderful job!
Can't wait for the report!
:-)
Jodi
Congrats! I'm looking forward to the report!
Great job.
Can't wait for the report!
Congrats.
Sub 7 hours is awesome! Congrats!
Congrats on finishing your 1st too! I agree that it was tough! I met you in the swim start area with Jodi and shouted for you on the run when we passed the 1st time. Great job!
Margaret
Congrats ;)
Been thinking how u did on your HIM.
Rachel,
CONGRATS!! Delete the *slow* from your post...that course is tough and you did great! I just remember how the hills/rollers on the backside of that bike course can really beat you up. Solid work- can't wait for the report!
I can't wait to hear if it's like the Pendleton race at all (some of the same bike course?). Congrats on your finish! Awesome :-)
Congratulations! That's a great total time for a first half.
Those times are not slow by my standards :-) You did great!
Well done once again, Rachel! Please remove the word "slow" from your post... you did great!
Congrats!!! Somehow I see this being the first of many!
Congratulations!
Did you:
Get blinded by the sun as you swam your way back to shore?
Get stuck behind a slowpoke in the no passing zone?
See a Tank Xing?
Hear a Marine tell you how much you rocked?
See the dudes with the gross road rash?
Great job, congratulations.
The long stuff is always tough, no matter how it goes.
Glad you had a great time at the race. That is all that matters..
Congrats! Looking forward to more details when you're ready for telling us the nitty gritty.
